1. Publisher

2. Market Information

CommodityScope publishes physical commodity and freight market intelligence, including CommodityScope Indicative Assessments, Modelled Indicators, computed statistics and, where applicable, explicitly identified Reference Market Series.

A value identified as a CommodityScope Assessment is an indicative analytical market estimate produced under the CommodityScope methodology. It is not a live bid, offer, transaction confirmation, vessel fixture or guarantee that a commodity or service can be executed at that level.

CommodityScope assessments are produced using a combination of market observations, publicly available market information, externally administered market references, freight and logistics inputs, transaction indications and internally calculated market relationships.

External market information may be used as validation, comparison, calibration or, where provided by the applicable family methodology, as an input to the published assessment. The treatment of such inputs is defined by the relevant family methodology.

The final published CommodityScope Assessment is determined under CommodityScope's own methodology, validation rules and calculation framework.

Reference Market Series are identified separately from CommodityScope Assessments and retain the market type, administrator or reference basis applicable to the series.

My Desk shows the same published values as the market pages, with the same dates, units and publication types. It is not a live quotation service.

3. Third-Party Intellectual Property

Third-party trademarks, service marks, trade names, methodologies, indices, proprietary identifiers and datasets remain the property of their respective owners.

CommodityScope is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any third-party price reporting agency, exchange, index administrator or market-data provider unless expressly stated.

External benchmarks and third-party market observations may be consulted as supplementary references for validation, comparison and model calibration. Their use as reference information does not make the underlying third-party dataset, methodology, identifier or intellectual property a CommodityScope-created asset.

Nothing in these Terms grants users rights to third-party data, trademarks, methodologies, indices or other intellectual property.

4. No Warranty

CommodityScope seeks to maintain accurate and timely market information but does not warrant that every assessment, observation, calculation, model output or historical series is complete, error-free or suitable for a particular commercial purpose.

Market conditions may change after an assessment date and actual transactions may occur at materially different levels.

5. CommodityScope Intellectual Property

CommodityScope's original editorial content, CS Identifiers, database organization, calculations, charts, presentation, market-page structure, methodology and CommodityScope-created assessments are protected to the extent provided by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms transfers third-party intellectual property to CommodityScope.

6. Automated Extraction

Systematic scraping, automated bulk extraction, republication, resale or redistribution of CommodityScope-created datasets, assessments or substantial portions of the website requires prior written permission from CommodityScope except where applicable law provides otherwise.

This applies to My Desk accounts as well. My Desk limits how many market histories one account can open per day.

The official public widget at /tools/embed may be used to display a single CommodityScope-created series on another site under the CommodityScope Widget Terms. Public websites, company sites and internal dashboards may show the official widget with CommodityScope attribution. Removing that attribution, reselling the data, scraping widget values, or using them as a settlement or index source is not permitted by this exception.

7. No financial or investment advice

Assessments, charts, forward curves and freight figures are for information only. They are not financial, investment, legal, tax or trading advice. PAK OCEAN TL HK does not act as a broker, exchange or financial counterparty.

8. Rights and Corrections

Questions relating to methodology, corrections, attribution or intellectual-property rights may be submitted to [email protected].

CommodityScope may correct, suspend, amend or withdraw content where appropriate.
