CommodityScope Widget Terms

1. Permitted use

You may use the official CommodityScope widget to display supported CommodityScope market assessments, modelled indicators, freight assessments and other published series on:

• public websites;
• company websites;
• internal dashboards;
• market-monitoring pages;
• research and analytical interfaces.

The widget must be loaded through the official CommodityScope embed code and must remain connected to the CommodityScope-hosted source.

Use of the widget does not transfer ownership of any CommodityScope data, methodology, series, trademarks or intellectual property.

2. Attribution

CommodityScope attribution must remain visible at all times.

You must not remove, hide, obscure, modify or replace:

• the CommodityScope name or logo;
• the CS Series identifier;
• the assessment date;
• links to the original CommodityScope series page;
• methodology links;
• any other attribution or status information displayed by the widget.

You may place the widget within your own page layout, but you may not present CommodityScope data as your own proprietary assessment.

3. Data displayed by the widget

The widget displays the latest published CommodityScope value available for the selected series.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, widget values are:

• market assessments;
• modelled indicators;
• calculated reference values; or
• other published CommodityScope market data.

They are not live bids, live offers, executable quotations, firm freight quotations, transaction confirmations or contractual settlement prices.

The assessment date shown in the widget forms part of the displayed value and must not be removed or misrepresented.

4. No modification or misrepresentation

You must not modify, transform or manipulate the value displayed by the widget in a way that could misrepresent the original CommodityScope assessment.

You must not:

• alter the displayed price or rate;
• change the unit of measure without clear disclosure;
• change the assessment date;
• remove qualifications or methodology references;
• combine the value with other data and present the result as an official CommodityScope assessment;
• describe an indicative or modelled value as a firm commercial quotation.

Calculations made independently from CommodityScope data must be clearly identified as your own calculations.

5. No resale or data-feed redistribution

The widget is provided for display purposes.

You may not, without prior written permission from CommodityScope:

• resell CommodityScope widget data;
• redistribute CommodityScope data as a commercial data feed;
• sublicense the data;
• provide bulk access to widget values;
• create a competing price-feed or market-data service using widget output;
• systematically extract or reproduce CommodityScope series outside the official widget.

Displaying an official widget on your website or internal dashboard is permitted. Republishing the underlying data independently of the widget is not.

6. Automated extraction

You may not use the widget, embed.js, widget endpoints or rendered widget content for:

• systematic scraping;
• bulk harvesting;
• database reconstruction;
• automated price-feed extraction;
• creation of historical datasets;
• automated model training or machine-learning datasets;
• circumvention of CommodityScope access controls.

Separate data-access arrangements may be available for users requiring programmatic or bulk access.

7. Use in contracts, settlement and financial products

CommodityScope widget values must not be used as a contractual settlement reference, payment trigger, index component, derivative settlement price, valuation benchmark or other legally binding pricing mechanism unless CommodityScope has expressly authorized that use in writing.

The widget is intended for market-information and analytical purposes.

8. Third-party and source-derived information

Some CommodityScope assessments and indicators may incorporate, reference or be calculated using third-party market information.

Use of the CommodityScope widget does not grant the user any rights to underlying third-party data, trademarks, methodologies or intellectual property.

Only the CommodityScope-published widget output may be displayed under these Widget Terms.

9. Availability and updates

CommodityScope may:

• update widget design or functionality;
• change supported series;
• correct published values;
• suspend or discontinue a series;
• change embed functionality;
• restrict abusive or excessive use.

CommodityScope does not guarantee uninterrupted widget availability.

Historical values, methodology versions and series definitions may change where corrections or methodology updates are required.

10. No warranty

CommodityScope provides the widget and its displayed information on an “as available” basis.

CommodityScope does not warrant that:

• the information is error-free;
• every market will update every day;
• every series is suitable for a particular transaction;
• the displayed value represents an executable market level;
• the widget will remain continuously available.

Users remain responsible for independently evaluating whether a CommodityScope assessment is appropriate for their intended use.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CommodityScope is not liable for losses arising from:

• trading or commercial decisions based on widget information;
• use of a displayed assessment as a transaction price;
• delayed or unavailable updates;
• technical interruptions;
• reliance on an indicative or modelled value as a firm quotation.

The widget is a market-information tool and does not constitute financial, investment, legal or commercial advice.

12. Prohibited presentation

You must not use the widget in a manner that:

• falsely implies endorsement, partnership or sponsorship by CommodityScope;
• falsely states that CommodityScope has verified your company, transaction or commercial offer;
• places CommodityScope data beside misleading or fraudulent commercial claims;
• materially damages or misrepresents the CommodityScope brand.

13. Termination of widget access

CommodityScope may restrict or disable widget access where these terms are violated, including where the widget is used for unauthorized redistribution, scraping, resale, misrepresentation or removal of attribution.

14. Changes to these terms

CommodityScope may update these Widget Terms from time to time.

The current version published on CommodityScope applies to continued use of the widget.
