Market definition
Delivery basis
Free on Board at an eligible loading location inside the Strait of Hormuz. The assessed value is the value of product loaded aboard the nominated vessel. It excludes onward marine freight and marine insurance to the buyer’s destination.
Cargo
Cargoes within this range are directly comparable in size. Smaller or larger cargoes may trade at different levels because of vessel economics, terminal restrictions, parcel availability and operational requirements.
Loading window
The window is measured from the date represented by the published assessment. Cargoes loading materially earlier or later may reflect different physical availability, refinery schedules, inventory, forward structure and logistics.
Reference conversion
7.45 bbl/mt
Analytical reference for cross-unit comparison. It does not imply that every cargo has the same density. The published value remains in USD/bbl.
Publication schedule
Daily cadence. Updates follow the daily publication cycle when a qualifying market observation is available. Each value retains its assessment date.
Assessment cutoff: 16:30 Singapore time (SGT). CommodityScope considers market information available to its assessment process up to this time. The assessment date is distinct from the publication timestamp.
Exclusions and related markets
- Fujairah lies outside the Strait of Hormuz and is outside the geographic basis of the Series. FOB Fujairah is not equivalent to FOB Arab Gulf — Inside Strait.
- CFR, CIF, delivered, ex-tank, ex-wharf, pipeline, truck or other destination terms are not equivalent to FOB Arab Gulf.
- Prompt cargoes are not equivalent to cargoes loading 20–40 calendar days forward.
The Assessment Midpoint of CS-AG-GO10 is formed from this Series’ own validated market observations. No related series enters the Assessment Midpoint. Under Oil Methodology 1.0, only a listed same-unit related forward may support Assessment Range construction. This Series currently has no listed related pair.
Comparability is evaluated against the stated basis; adjustments apply only where the family methodology defines them. Oil Methodology 1.0 does not apply a cargo-size, timing or location premium to the Assessment Midpoint of this Series.
Related Arab Gulf, Fujairah and Singapore gasoil markets may be reviewed as supplementary market context and validation references. They do not enter the CS-AG-GO10 midpoint or Assessment Range unless explicitly listed by the applicable Oil methodology.
