CommodityScope Wheat Delivered Cost Methodology

CS-MODEL-WHEAT-DELIVERY · Version 1.0 · Document issued 2 October 2026

Wheat Delivered Cost 1.0: a CommodityScope Modelled Indicator of indicative delivered cost in USD/mt. Listed corridors add a same-date grain FOB assessment to the published grain freight assessment for the stated lot.

1. Scope

This document records Wheat Delivered Cost methodology version 1.0. It does not retrospectively assign a new effective date to earlier publications. Parent document: CommodityScope Assessment & Publication Framework (/methodology/core).

Wheat Delivered Cost is a model methodology. Grain assessments (/methodology/grain) and dry freight assessments (/methodology/dry-freight) remain in their own families. The Russian wheat export duty is not an input.

2. Calculation

Indicative delivered cost = wheat assessment midpoint + grain freight assessment midpoint

Both inputs are USD/mt and share the assessment date. Listed corridors are wheat 12.5% FOB Russia and wheat 11.5% FOB Ukraine, each with the matching Black Sea to Egypt freight for 30,000 mt and for 40,000–50,000 mt, and corn FOB Ukraine for 30,000+ mt lots with those same Ukrainian freight assessments. The freight lot is stated on the corridor. The FOB assessment is not resized to that lot. The Russian wheat export duty is not an input. A missing input leaves that date unpublished.
