Trading Basis & Assessment Specifications
European naphtha is quoted CIF NWE (ARA basis), CIF Med, FOB Med (East Med basis) and as FOB ARA barges, all in USD/mt; Singapore naphtha is FOB in USD/bbl; Arab Gulf and Fujairah are FOB in USD/mt; Japan is a delivered CFR value in USD/mt. Units are not converted on this site.
- Unit: FOB Singapore is USD/bbl; every other naphtha series is USD/mt.
- Term: CIF NWE (ARA basis) and CIF Med are delivered cargo values; FOB Med (East Med basis), FOB Arab Gulf and FOB Fujairah are loading-port values; FOB ARA is a barge value; CFR Japan is a delivered value at Japanese ports. Market convention may also refer to the Japan basis as C+F Japan.

- FOB series (5) price the cargo at the loading port; CFR/CIF series (3) include freight to the named destination. Compare within one delivery term; the gap between terms may reflect freight, insurance, location basis, parcel size and timing, and is neither a margin nor a freight rate.
- Units differ: USD/bbl (1), USD/mt (7). Pick the series in the unit you trade; this site does not convert between them.
