What This Indicator Measures
Daily C+F Japan naphtha cargo assessment in USD/mt — the delivered value at Japanese discharge ports, including freight from the loading area.
Naphtha: A physical price for naphtha, a light distillate used as petrochemical steam-cracker feedstock and gasoline blendstock. Regional series differ by delivery term and unit (USD/bbl in Singapore, USD/mt in Europe and Japan).
What the source does not state for this series
- The source table names this series as “Naphtha” and does not print a fuller specification; none is assumed here.
Specification · product family only
- Open-specification naphtha; paraffin content and density follow the source assessment and are not reproduced here.
Basis: C+F Japan
- C+F Japan: cost and freight to Japan; the loading origin is not fixed by the quote.
- C+F (cost and freight): the price includes freight to the named destination, in this case the Japan discharge area; it is not a loading-port value.
- Japan on a C+F basis means product delivered to Japanese discharge ports; the price includes freight from the loading area.
Unit: USD/mt
- USD/bbl values (Singapore, Arab Gulf, Fujairah) and USD/mt values (Europe, Japan naphtha) cannot be compared without a product-specific density conversion; the site does not convert them.
- Published assessments are a low–high range with a midpoint; charts and monthly statistics use the midpoint only.
