Specifications, coverage and how to compare

Trading Basis & Assessment Specifications

Each series keeps its own delivery basis and published unit.

Hub Coverage

  • 10 series with a loaded observation; 3 daily and 7 weekly.
  • Units: USD/mt (4), EUR/mt (3), USD/st (2), CNY/mt (1). Values in different units are not converted or compared on this site.
  • Delivery terms in the basis column: no Incoterm stated (5), CFR (2), CIF (1), DELIVERED (1), FOB (1). Different delivery terms are not interchangeable; the gap may reflect freight, insurance, basis, parcel and timing differences.
  • Latest assessment dates range from 13 Aug 2026 to 9 Oct 2026; compare only series with the same date.

How to Compare These Series

  • For day-to-day moves use a daily series (Plate Delivered US Midwest, Plate DDP Houston, Plate DDP Houston); for week-on-week and monthly context use a weekly series (Plate FOB China, Plate Europe imports CIF Southern Europe port, Plate CFR East Asia (Dangjin, South Korea port), Plate CFR Southeast Asia (Ho Chi Minh City port) and 3 more). A daily and a weekly series are related markets, not one history.
  • FOB series (1) price the cargo at the loading port; CIF/CFR series (3) include freight to the named destination. Compare within one delivery term; the gap between terms may reflect freight, insurance, location basis, parcel size and timing, and is neither a margin nor a freight rate.
  • Units differ: USD/st (2), USD/mt (4), EUR/mt (3), CNY/mt (1). Pick the series in the unit you trade; this site does not convert between them.

Based on each series delivery term, unit and type. No average across bases or units is computed for this hub.
