What This FOB Caribbean Price Represents
This page tracks the daily ammonia fob caribbean on a FOB Caribbean basis, quoted in USD/mt. Specification recorded: Platts Fertecon print. Figures are CommodityScope indicative assessments for the defined series basis. They are not a live quote.
Compare With

Different delivery terms (FOB vs CFR); the gap may reflect freight, insurance, location basis, parcel and timing differences and is not a trading margin.

Basis: FOB Caribbean
- FOB (free on board): the price covers the product loaded on the vessel at the named origin; sea freight and insurance to the destination are excluded, so FOB values from different loading areas are not delivered-cost equivalents.
Unit: USD/mt
- Most series are USD per metric tonne of product, not per tonne of nitrogen. NOLA barge series are USD per short ton (907.18 kg); Rouen and German inland series are EUR/mt. A series stays in its published unit: USD/mt, USD/st, EUR/mt, GBP/mt and CNY/mt are not converted into each other.
- FOB origin and CFR destination values are not interchangeable; the gap may reflect freight, insurance, location basis, parcel size and timing, not freight alone.
How to use this series, and what it is not for

- Compare the same basis and the same unit. Do not subtract a domestic CNY price from a seaborne USD price.
