What This Indicator Measures

Daily Singapore naphtha swap values by contract month in USD/bbl; the page history follows the M1 tenor.

Refined Product Forward Curves (Swaps): Financially settled forward (swap) values for a refined product by contract month: balance-of-month (BalMo), first month (M1), second month (M2) and where available M3. The page history uses one tenor (M1 where available) so that the chart is one continuous series.

Specification · stated by the source for this series

  • Tenors BalMo / M1 / M2 with contract month, loaded per edition.
  • Singapore paper · · M1 history
  • Tenors roll: “M1” refers to a different calendar month after each expiry; the contract month is shown in the tenor table.

Basis: Singapore paper

  • Paper/swap values are financially settled forward prices for a contract month, not physical cargo transactions.
  • Singapore is a port and storage hub at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula; Asian refined-product cargoes are commonly priced against Singapore loadings.

Unit: USD/bbl

  • Same unit as the underlying physical product (USD/bbl or USD/mt).

What This Singapore paper Price Represents

This page tracks the daily naphtha forward on a Singapore paper basis, quoted in USD/bbl. Specification recorded: Singapore paper · · M1 history. Figures are CommodityScope Indicators synthesized from loaded market editions. They are not a live quote and not a republication of a price-reporting agency table.

How to use this series

  • Read the curve shape (M1 vs M2) as the market’s time structure; compare M1 with the physical price of the same product and basis.

What it is not suitable for

  • Treating a swap value as a physical cargo price.
  • Comparing swaps of different products or units.

Compare With

Each comparison states why the series are related and whether the latest values can be subtracted directly (same unit, currency and assessment date). Where they cannot, the values are shown side by side without a difference.
