What This Indicator Measures

Daily FOB Singapore jet kerosene cargo assessment in USD/bbl, the Asian loading-port value for aviation turbine fuel.

Jet Fuel / Kerosene: A physical price for aviation turbine fuel (jet kerosene). Series differ by loading or delivery area, delivery term and parcel type; each is a separate market.

What the source does not state for this series

  • The source table names this series as “Jet Kerosene” and does not print a fuller specification; none is assumed here.

Specification · stated by the source for this series

  • Jet kerosene, as labelled in the source row; the exact grade (e.g. Jet A-1) is not printed in the loaded table.
  • Jet A-1 is defined by DEF STAN 91-091 / ASTM D1655 (freezing point maximum −47 °C among other limits); the exact grade assessed by each source is not reproduced here.

Basis: FOB Singapore

  • FOB (free on board): the price covers the product loaded on the vessel at the named origin; sea freight and insurance to the destination are excluded, so FOB values from different loading areas are not delivered-cost equivalents.
  • Singapore is a port and storage hub at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula; Asian refined-product cargoes are commonly priced against Singapore loadings.

Unit: USD/bbl

  • USD/bbl values (Singapore, Arab Gulf, Fujairah) and USD/mt values (Europe, Japan naphtha) cannot be compared without a product-specific density conversion; the site does not convert them.
  • Published assessments are a low–high range with a midpoint; charts and monthly statistics use the midpoint only.

What This FOB Singapore Price Represents

This page tracks the daily jet kerosene on a FOB Singapore basis, quoted in USD/bbl. Figures are CommodityScope Indicators synthesized from loaded market editions. They are not a live quote and not a republication of a price-reporting agency table.

How to use this series

  • Track aviation fuel pricing by region; compare with 10 ppm gasoil in the same basis for the jet–diesel differential.

What it is not suitable for

  • Into-plane airport prices, which include throughput and handling fees.

Compare With

Each comparison states why the series are related and whether the latest values can be subtracted directly (same unit, currency and assessment date). Where they cannot, the values are shown side by side without a difference.
